If we look to the instability of weather as a reflection of the instability we sometimes feel inside, how do we manage our personal hurricanes?
Our personal hurricanes can create relationship discord, struggle, financial problems, hopelessness, and physical challenges. These internal storms are the confusion we must bring under control. We have to master these distractions.
So how do you stop the crazy personal hurricanes?
1. Change your mindset.
Nothing will move until you shift your thoughts. You’re stuck thinking about what’s not working, and yet the Angels are waiting for you to look at what can work. They’re ready to start working on your behalf. The Angels work for free, but you’ve got to pay the price and hustle. Hence, the next step…
2. Work your gift.
What’s in your hand? What do you have that you can use right now? What can you do now? Get going. Stop letting fear block you. Remember we’re playing by God’s rules. We have supernatural, unlimited favor. This means that the man-made rules don’t apply. Things will happen to you that to others seem inexplicable, but you know what happened. You know God is in control.
3. Watch the signs.
There are no coincidences. Synchronicity is God working on your behalf.
4. Please don’t give your power away.
Watch who you hang around. Watch who can knock you off your center. Watch what you allow them to do. Take control of your emotions around those people. Get your emotions under control; you’ll be more powerful when you do.
5. Guard your heart.
No, you can’t let everyone into your personal space. Be ruthless about protecting your energy and your time. If someone drains you, why are you wasting time with him? Love him. Just do it from across the street. If she makes you crazy limit her access to you; stop picking up the phone. And foolish family members get prayers, not your whole emotional paycheck. If you don’t stop dragging them along trying to get them to higher ground, you’ll lose your mind and your money.
6. Stop wasting time.
We have no more time to waste on distractions. Life is moving fast. If you don’t move with it, you’ll be left behind. Again I say, work your gift.
7. Cultivate your consciousness.
Meditate and pray. Nurture your soul everyday. Are you growing? We aren’t supposed to remain the same. We’re supposed to grow and become better. You shouldn’t be the same person you were 10 years ago. If your church or relationship isn’t stretching you and causing you to grow, then why are you still there?
Be diligent as you put yourself back together from the emotional storm. Who you really are is magnificent. And your decision to succeed with God outweighs everything.
You definitely will.
