It’s a good thing God doesn’t pay attention to me when I get to complaining. And it’s an even better thing that I’ve learned to shift from the negativity and reach for higher spiritual ground when things get a little crazy.
Too many people complain, grumble, and then complain some more. What’s worse is that they wear those complaints like a badge of honor; you’d think the hurt is a medal they’re proud of. They’ve voiced the story so much it almost has its own melody. I’m not minimizing anyone’s pain. I’m just saying it’s time to tell a new story.
You know what else? The truth is you don’t get anything done by sitting around complaining and nobody wants to hear it anyway. People will tell you that they’re listening, but at some point I promise you they’re thinking, “When is she going to stop complaining? When is he going to shut up?”
And in all fairness to the very patient listeners, hearing the same thing over and over and over is exhausting. You’ve got to tell a new story.
So I’m here to ask you two questions: do you complain too much? If you do, you have to balance it by putting good into the atmosphere.
You’re trying to attract your dream so its time to change your energy level. Do it by the words you speak.
The next time something good happens to you, keep talking about it. Talk about it over and over and over. Share it with as many people as you can. See how that makes you feel. And from feeling space, that good feeling space, go work on your dream.
Your creativity will be off the charts.
It’s time to sing a new song.
